The Tactical Toolbox is now in the process of securing Dynamic Arms Development Group to take over production of the ACB. This will be good news as the barrel quality will go up considerably as well as opening up supply and options. Planned for development and production will be a wider range of barrels in several calibers. All barrels will be melonite (salt bath nitride QPQ method) treated for vastly increased longevity.
Slated for production will be mid-length gas system barrels in 5.56mm, .223 Wylde, 6.5 Grendel, .300 BLK and debuting 6.5 PCC (slated for later development). All barrels will feature advanced contour design for the proper balance of rigidity and weight. Lengths will be 14.5" and 16" with mid-length gas systems. Supermatch will have an additional option of 18" with rifle gas system.
There will be two general lines of barrel: production and supermatch. Production will be button rifled and stress relieved 5R or six groove rifling, depending upon caliber/performance, mil-spec steel barrels. Supermatch will be button rifled and stress relieved three or four groove, depending upon caliber and performance, stainless steel, hand lapped.
